GEOFF PIGOTT BA (Hons), ACIB
Geoff has a proud track record of delivering results over a 38 year career. After graduating from University, he joined one of the UK's major financial institutions and for the next 30 years pursued a highly successful career with managerial appointments in most parts of the banking group including retail, middle sized corporates, regional and head offices, and multi-nationals through the capital markets operation. In many of these roles including running The City of London Area, and as National Sales Director of the Life, Pensions and Investments arm, he had end to end responsibility for the business, including sales targets and bottom line profitability.
Geoff's qualities include strong leadership and clear communication, excellent people management and motivation, and an expertise in all aspects of sales and sales management. Having served on numerous committees and boards, including that of the bank's University, he is well used to helping shape strategy and devise the tactical plans to deliver identified goals. Above all however, his strengths are in the implementation field, maximising the potential of the human capital in the business.
Within the last 8 years, Geoff has launched and run a number of businesses and also undertaken Executive Board roles including Chairman of an IFA network.
TREVOR HODSDON, FCIB
Trevor is a highly experienced executive with expertise covering a wide range of commercial and non profit making activities. He brings his recent and pertinent knowledge to the consultant’s role and is also a sought after coach and mentor. Trevor returned to training and execution delivery following a distinguished career, primarily in the Financial Services sector, since when he has created several development solutions.
He has a passion for people and is keen to give back and support the development of the U.K. workforce. His 34 years in the commercial world included 25 years in management and leadership roles with the last ten operating at a level just below the Group Executive and Main Board of one of our largest banks in the U.K.
He has formed and led many teams with great success, managed and turned around poorly performing businesses and expanded successful ones. He also held large operational responsibilities and directed several national and international culture and change programmes. Some of the achievements in this field were exemplar and nominated for national awards. His last career role was as the Head of a Client Relationship function delivering central services to group companies to the value of some £500m p.a.
He was until recently the Chair and Director of one of the U.K’s most important educational charities and also chaired the team constructing the content for the new Business and Finance Diploma on behalf of the Department for Education and Skills. He has also advised on a section of the Cambridge Junior M.B.A. programme.
Trevor has maintained a passion for development and training, a commitment that began when he undertook training delivery and design roles in his earlier management career. Indeed, throughout his career he has remained a regular contributor to various Leadership Programmes and is a popular and inspirational presenter. His appraisal skills are highly developed and he is a proven manager of people performance with a deep understanding of how to get the best from people on a sustainable basis.
Trevor is a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Bankers and an ex senior football referee where he practised his leadership and management skills at the sharp end, every week of the season. Trevor has the gift of being able to get the best from people and to show how theories and models can be applied in everyday life.
